It seems you have not effectively managed your blood sugar in past. IF you do not have Thyroid problem, please start alpha-lipoic acid 300 mg (an antioxidant) twice daily along with any multivatin like supradyn and application of evening primrose oil may help in relieving symptoms and will improve nerve function. Please also consult any good endocrinologist and neurologist .

Dear Vipulrohilla: Thanks for your exhaustive 26 points reply. I am currently trying the LCHF dietary schedule and have located a source for buying Long Wheat also at Bangalore . After studying the LCHF diet schedule, I now eat either egg omelette with wheat bread toasts (2 slices), or boiled egg with same 2 slices of wheat toasted bread with butter in both cases, , or if it is dosa, I have switched over to dosa made with coconut oil and not with ground nut or sun flower oil. And I have reduced the number of dosas from 2 to 1. I feel a lot more alert and am able to attend to my routine data analysis and writing work for 3-4 hours till lunch. Half an hour after lunch, I go in for my siesta for one to one and half hours. In the evening after coffee, either I practice yoga and prayanama for about 2 hours, or go for a walk, where I walk in the park for 20 to 30 minutes and sit for that long enjoying the breeze. Since I am ageing, (I am now 75) I have difficulty in walking as I develop joint pains after sometime.

Quite a few of the points you have been good enough to suggest do not conform to LCHF diet regimen, which both Mr.George and Medfree, have suggested, after years of experimenting. I want to stick with this diet for about six months and watch before deciding to make it my life time decision.

I would commend to you to get and study a copy of the Research Paper titled “DESIGNING OF LOW GLYCAEMIC FOODS FROM DICOCCUM WHEAT FOR THE EFFECTIVE MANAGEMENT OF DIABETES”,

the Thesis submitted to the University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad, for doctoral research by Dr. ANKITA MUNDRA. It is truly an exhaustive work of great significance.

Regards and best wishes,

N.Narasimhan
