It is true glucose is stored in liver, which is about 80 gms and muscle glycogen about 400 gms.During energy requirement time glycogen from liver is released in form of glucose into blood circulation, but muscles are very selfish they don't release their glycogen into blood circulation and use it exclusively for own energy requirement.During rest muscles predominantly uses free fatty acids, while during mild exercise it uses blood glucose and free fatty acids.
