No, it does not. I have tested many times after taking rum. It was always less than what it was before the drink

For me its always a decrease in FBS when I consume couple of drinks of scotch whiskey on weekends. I think alcohol prevents liver from dumping glucose into blood since liver will be busy in breaking down the alcohol.

Hi rubena, the "Thanks for your reply" at the end of your response looks like a closing remark, indicating that you do not want to be bothered by me any more. BUT Fasting BS 140 indicates that you have very high diabetes & any time you are likely to encounter the more serious higher level problems caused by diabetes. Sorry for bothering you further with unpleasant truths. I could not hold it.

Hi i have diabetes for the past 2 yrs. fasting is 200 now after taking homeopathy medicine but it keeps fluctuating. i now take glycomet twice a day. ofcourse walking and diet control is followed.hopefully it will come down
