Is stevia absolutely safe for a diabetic to take. Also,is it available in chandigarh or punjab.

It is sweetener prepared from stevia leaves.It is available in ayurvedic wholesale stores in the form of tablets.My doctor has recommended this to me. He has told me not to use sugar free or equal sweetners. I purchase from store in Amritsar.Definitely is must be availble in chandigarh also.

I have read somewhere that stevia is a natural sweetner and is not absorbed by blood, so your sugar level not increase. I had planted a stevia plant, it is indeed very sweet, but I didn't like its taste as it is different.
