Which food consists of low carbs and high fibre. Can anyone specify a few, please ?
There are two forms of fiber: soluble and insoluble.
Soluble fiber attracts water and turns to gel during digestion. This slows digestion. Soluble fiber is found in oat bran, barley, nuts, seeds, beans, lentils, peas, and some fruits and vegetables. Soluble fiber has been scientifically proven to lower cholesterol, which can help prevent heart disease.
Insoluble fiber is found in foods such as wheat bran, vegetables, and whole grains. It appears to speed the passage of foods through the stomach and intestines and adds bulk to the stool.

Dear medfree...I have tried LCHF diet as recommended by you I have certainly got benefited by reducing my daily intake of medicines controlling my diabetes. I have only one fear that how I will control my calories intake, because fats are usually with high calories. Can you please explain on this. If I take more calories by taking LCHF Diet, I will have to do lot of exercise to burn of extra calories consumed. Drs. say that a diabetic person lilke me should take only 1200 to 1600 calories per day. Can I have your email ID . Mine is kkgothi @ gmail.com.
