Is there any side effect for Glimepiride (glimy 1)tablets

I've been taking Glimy 1 since couple of years now. The initial months of consuming Glimy 1 twice a day rapidly reduced my weight from 72 to 64 kg, after which doctor reduced dose to 1 tablet a day, which helped stem the weight loss. I'm not sure, but I think there is a bit of memory loss from the sharp shooter that I was, but only doctors can say if it has got anything to do with Glimy 1.

Side effects from taking glimepiride include gastrointestinal tract (GI) disturbance, and rarely thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, hemolytic anemia, and occasionally allergic reactions occur. In the initial weeks of treatment, the risk of hypoglycemia may be increased. Alcohol consumption and exposure to sunlight should be restricted in patients taking it[4] because they can worsen the side effects
