I am a Type-2 diabetic for the past about 10 years. Earlier I have been taking Amryl 2mg. Somehow the sugar level did not come down.

Doctor prescribed me TriObimet-2. Since then there is drastic improvement. However, I understand that Government has banned manufacturing and selling "pioglitazone' which contains in this medicine ( other two constituents are Metformin and Glimepiride). Anyone who takes diabetic medicine that contain pioglitazone, please consult your physician and ascertain need to change.

Please look this link. The Experiences including myself you can see in this page. Before taking Govt.Banned medicine and make yourself in to chemical-body, go natural without high dose unknown chemicals and fall victim to side effect. Mother nature have given us all to survive from diceases.

Glimepiride (generic name) Amaryl (brand name) is used along with diet and exercise, and sometimes with other medications, to treat type 2 diabetes (condition in which the body does not use insulin normally and, therefore, cannot control the amount of sugar in the blood). Glimepiride lowers blood sugar by causing the pancreas to produce insulin (a natural substance that is needed to break down sugar in the body) and helping the body use insulin efficiently. This medication will only help lower blood sugar in people whose bodies produce insulin naturally.

Pioglitazone and its combinations with other anti-diabetic drugs are banned in India. By a notification on 18 June 2013, Indian government has suspended manufacture and sale of this drug in India with immediate effect.

Pioglitazone may cause heart failure and bladder cancer.
