iam a diabetic patient. iam using daily splenta 10gram. what is the opinion about splenta. my dr. told splenta is good. no problem
instead of sugar splenta is good. if you are a diabetic patient.
If it is Splenda please avoid it
Why avoid Splenda? What are the side effects of taking Splenda?
Can we take stevia instead?
I was using Splenda for the last 5 years or so. Only in tea. Did not find any adverse effect except difficulties in controlling weight. I am 84 kg ( 5'4") I want to bring down the weight by 10 kg. What are the safe methods?

As of now there is a largely accepted view that is FOR Stevia.
The only way of bringing down the weight is NOT to CUT calories.
You have to CUT THE BAD CALORIES.
Now what are these? How to do this ?
Cut direct sugar, indirect sugar through sweets, fruit juices, canned foods, artificial sweeteners and fructose based energy drinks.
If you are diabetic CUT diabetic foods, diabetic sweets
AVOID "Low calorie " foods, biscuits,' low sugar' packaged foods, potato
CUT FRUCTOSE : energy and fruit juice based including 'low sugar 'drinks, , soda,
CUT GRAINS( wheat, rice, bajra, jowar, ragi ) and multigrain atta.
So what to eat?
Stick to cooked rice 1 bowl during meals.,;
Include soys sauce ( consume soya only in fermented form),
Include salads with olive oil topping,
Change your oil to coconut oil ( Eating fat does not turn you fat) It is the fructose which is switching your 'FAT SWITCH"
Inclde lot of sprouted legumes: Use only mung sprouted raw and use all other legumes soaked for 24 hours, light-cooked , ( Sprouting must be for 3 -5-7 days depending upon legumes and weather conditions)
Include eggs, cheese( cheddar, not processed), butter, whole milk, pitted olive, almonds, ( soaked for 48 hours), walnuts, flax seeds ( freshly ground)
Include fruits ( Limit your intake of fructose to 20 gms/ day. Otherwise you will NOT reduce yor weight.
BEWARE: FRUCTOSE IS NOT IN THE DIETARY INFO LABEL ON FOOD PACKAGES
Take antioxidant and magnesium supplements, vitamins, and alpha lipoic acid if you are diabetic., Omega 3 through walnut, flax seed, and Krill oil.
