I came to know that after the age 80/85 years there is no possibility of diabetes ? Is it so?

It does matter.Diabetes means lots of complications,pain and expense.It is dreadful at any age.

Sorry, There nothing like this. My Matternal Uncle is 88 Yrs old . He does all the work at home still last year diabetics was detected and doctor has adviced him medicine accordingely

This is correct. Since T2D is a genetic disorder so mostly this gene is activated till age of 40-45. It is rare to suffer with Diabetes after 50, forget after 80 (If you don't start living on Sugars.

At what age some body was diagnosed with Diabetes is no point. People live with Diabetes for 20 years but un-diagnosed because they live Ideal healthy life style (less sugars, doing exercise etc) by choice, never reaching dangerous limits. So they never touch a doctor for Diabetes related issues. May be at some later age when Pancreatic cells are more damaged & they loose control they feel symptoms to see a doctor to be diagnosed as Diabetic in that age.

This often happens with Diabetes & Hypertension, specially in rural areas where people often ignore initial symptoms. So when somebody was diagnosed as Diabetic, is no document because diagnosis is only possible when you see a doctor with relevant complaints. At what age you are diagnosed is an immaterial answer in reference to when you had it actually.
