Your blood sugar levels, work and lifestyle are quite similar to mine. I was never able to follow the dietery guide given by the dietician as I work in the night shifts for over a decade. Is there a dummy's guide on how I can follow and control my sugar levels in today's work enviornment? I admit, I'm lazy, never walk as I have a heelspur in my left foot. Recently I took a 71 blood tests and showed it to endocrinologist. Though there were few readings that were higher than the reference value, my doc told me that, this is a good indication.

So my 2 immediate concerns are pain in my left foot and weakness. HELP!!

Age: 43

Sex: Male

Height: 5 feet 6"

1. Ask your doctor whether Thyronorm has these side effects. If the answer is YES we will discuss here.

2. If the doctor's answer is no then

(a) according to doctors you will be 5 kg over weight

(b) according to me you are over weight by 16 kg.

3. When I became diabetic in 2006 I followed a diet which now people call GEM Diet. You can see its details in my Appropedia article as well as blogs. To read that click my picture on left and use the links given there.

4. If you have more doubts simply ask here.

I think you are over weight by about 7 or 8 kilos. If you cannot walk, there are other exercises like Tai Chi which you can do standing at one place. For details Youtube videos.

The text below is a "COPY&PASTE STUFF" from my previous replies to some others.

IF YOU HAVE ALREADY SEEN IT, KINDLY IGNORE THIS.

Diabetes is a fundamental disorder. It is comparable with low voltage in an electric circuit. In both cases all connected subsystems will under-perform and will fail in due course. Diab impairs the glucose (SUGAR) & oxygen supply to ALL CELLS of the patient. You cannot compensate the resultant weakness with liquor, food or medicines.

A DIABETESE PATIENT (also known as A DIABETIC) need NOT starve. PROPER or APPROPRIATE food can be eaten EVEN FULL STOMACH THRICE DAILY! Try to understand diabetes & conquer it.

TAKING MEDICINES ALONE WILL NOT BRING DOWN BLOOD SUGAR ALWAYS. YOU HAVE TO CHANGE YOUR FOOD HABITS & LIFE STYLE ALSO.

I was diabetic from 2006; but NOT diabetic from 2009. I studied Diabetes thoroughly, because it was to solve MY problem.

Do you want to see my experience and blood sugar history from 2006 to 2013? Those are reported at: appropedia.org/Diabetes_mel... If you want only MODUS OPERANDI, GO TO appropedia.org/Diabetes_mel...
