Is parnayam helps in controlling type 2 diabetes if yes what time of duration one should do parnayam

my age is 62 that means i have tp spent 62 minutes

Pranayama is definitely helpful but you should monitor from home to know whether your diabetes is under control.

yes my diabetes is under control but i walk about 3 k.m in half hour in the morning at 05.00 a.m.after i do exercise for 15 minutes & than i do pranayam for 15 minutes. six days a week.

in this way i keep my diabetes under control.

I don't find any control on diabetes with Pranayama.

(Initially it seems effective But after 3 months I could not find any control.

Even then I am practising pranayama for last 20 years.)

But Pranayama is definitely useful in many diseases.

Pranayam is certainly helpful in Diabetes...In fact in all your disease n health problems..In my opinion its not time duration, but atleast 80 strokes/rounds of Anulom Vilom( Nadi shuddhi parnayam). I do Oum Chanting 13 times to startwith...then Anulom Vilom 13 rounds...then Bhramari Pranayam 13 times...Kapal Bhati 400 strokes...10 strokes of Bhastrikas everyday in the morning at 6.30 am...2 surya namaskars..some stretching, bending n twisting excersizes...takes about 1.30 hrs a day..am living very healthy life at the age of 58 now..I have marginal BP( no Medicines), little effect of Gouts( under Control) and I had my GTT impaired starting 1991, but still not diabetic...Ofcourse I keep my direct sugar intake very low. All our health problems are Stress/Tension( Chinta) based..Pranayam(80%) n Yoga(20%) reduce the Stress very effectively.. Just try n stay happy, always smiling, help others and enjoy it..and see the fun.

80 rounds in a day spread over 4-5 times...you should nalways do Pranayams early morning, just before sleeping..n 30 minutes before taking food n 2 hours after food..
