I'm type 2 diabetic and suffer with palpatations from time to time, i'm told it's part of the condition but it's scary! Does anyone else suffer them?

Palpitation is not part of diabetes as such. It indicates cardio vascular involvement . Do you suffer from hypertension ? Please get yourself, thoroughly checked up by a cardiologist .

I had my BP checked over a 24hr period and said i was border line but did not need medication, i have it check on a regular bases and it's been ok ever since.

Have you had your thyroid checked? Sometimes low thyroid levels can affect your heart. I would certainly go back to your GP if I were you, as it could be Atrial Fibrillation, which is easily diagnosed. My sister and 2 friends have AF, my sister is diabetic, my friends aren't so it can affect anyone but it is quite common.
