Hi everyone, my review was done yesterday (type2) and my number was 96 (blood tests done two weeks ago). I cant translate this number when reading websites on how to improve things.
Help would be appreciated. My GP, increased my Gliclazide to 80mg am and 40mg pm. This is despite my BM's being <10. Thoughts welcomed.
Thank you, i just don't know, GP told me the average range is 20 to 42. my numbers at review on a full blood test (nurse) have been in 2011 45, in 2013 50, in 2013 67 and now this year 96. I have been on prednisolone a lot last year (respiratory problems) which is another frustrating issue. I play ball with them and they do not give me a clear simple understandable picture in numbers for me to assess and monitor my declining health. Again thank you for your reply,
Regards,
Ever so frustrated, angry, helpless,
Breathless.
Good weekend to all on site, stay warm stay safe and be well.
Thank you so much for such a detailed response. Can I say the following please,
The number I was given (96) was from my blood test, reflecting last 3 months.
I have severe COPD, so can't shop or cook for myself.
I eat tinned soup and microwave meals (Wiltshire Farm Foods) Toast, porridge, bananas.
I drink reduced sugar dilute orange, water and coffee.
Always use sweeteners. Never sugar and never add salt to anything.
In short I tend to exist, not live. I have a BMI of 29, which is a new high following long periods on prednisolone..
Due to my breathing difficulties my only exercise is in my flat when able.
I have to say you have worried me but am pleased you have, because I don't understand any of this and need to get to the bottom of it.
More help please from you or anyone else in the communities.
