Some people carry a gene that predisposes them to become diabetics. But for that gene to express itself, there are certain triggers like obesity, sedentary life style.excessive tension over a long period and eating food particularly carbohydrates disproportionate to their day to day physical activity which causes the diabetic conditions to manifest itself.Suppose if both parents are diabetic, children are predisposed to diabetes, but they can ward it off at least for a long time if they do not fall victims to the above mentioned triggers.

The symptoms are excessive thirst, craving for frequent eating particularly sweet stuff, itching on the body, general feeling of lack of energy in spite of eating well and even small wounds not healing properly and quickly. If you are in doubt, better to visit a diagnostic laboratory on empty stomach and give blood and urine samples.Have breakfast and after one and half to two hours again give blood and urine samples. The lab will give you the results on the same day and you can know yourself whether you are a diabetic or not.

The challenge for most of our people is change of attitude if we can achieve that we will be there.
