Good morning everyone.I've been a type 2 diabetic for 10 years. Once I'd got a grip of it my hba1c were stable and I gained good control, mainly through eating low carb.

3 years ago I had an oesophagectomy due to having oesophageal cancer. Ever since my operation I'm having problems with high blood sugars that are difficult to control with readings that are on the whole too high. I feel like it's a daily struggle as my eating pattern has had to change as I've only got 40% of my stomach left. I now have to eat little and often which isn't conducive to diabetic control.

My GI consultant told me, at time of cancer diagnosis, that my op can affect diabetes either making it better to deal with or worse.to control. My DN doesn't agree and says it's my pancreas just getting more tired.

Is there a diabetic out there who's had a similar experience?
