full blood test

my GP after a blood test, said I had a count of 42 regarding Diabetes. She said she would refer me to someone but after a couple of weeks I have heard nothing. What does this 42 mean and should I be chasing this up?

Means quite high an u could get diabetes 2 follow it up

After a year another blood test and number has gone up from 42 to 45 so am referred to a group conversation and another test in 6 months.
