Ear question.

Hi im new here I did not know where else to write this, I wanted to come onto to see if there was any advice.

I have just recently been fitted a Grommet in my ear because of eustacion tube problems, I have only had it for about 2 weeks now but I keep feeling like a cold air coming out of my ear not sure if this is the grommet or something else? It is no pain not bothering me really just feels cold as though someone is blowing, has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks

Look at it this way, the grommet has created a through flow of air, you could say your tubes are now working because every time you swallow, drink, eat you tube opens and allow the pressure of the middle ear to equalise, so your creating a draft because you have a hole in your eardrum, the grommet will fall out in time and the hole will heal, word of advise, never get your ear syringed.

Hi, Kissy61.

I had a tube put in my right ear in my 20's. I too could feel air flowing out, cold and hot at different times. The training water/liquid in my ear was what bugged me at first. It kept draining for ages so I slept with a cotton ball in my ear.

I also learned that I could actually whistle through my tube. That was cool.
