What can be done for drenching sweats?

Drenching sweats are really making me uncomfortable. Any advice?

Note: I have joined the two questions about drenching sweats as they are very similar and to avoid confusion when posting replies.

I have the same problem and asked my general doctor about it at my annual physical today. I just now realized she never answered me! can anyone address this sweaty issue?

I wish I knew. When I get them my shirts are soaked in minutes. I try to drink more water so I don't feel dehydrated.

Good post, and I would like to know the answer. I drink a lot of water because the meds make my mouth feel like it is packed with plaster mix and cotton wool. I stay in when it’s hot. A suggestion from one of my neurologists that works is candied ginger, not the paper-wrapped sweet, but the type you will find in East Asian shops. It takes good to me and assists me to create saliva. So if toy find the solution please share it with me! Thank you, and Happy New Year! Gary

I wonder if this is. About a half hour after I get up. I mean I'm in the kitchen getting my breakfast, and I get so sweaty and uncomfortable. My house is not very warm, so it's not heat. It lasts about 30 minutes.

I'm new to this web sight and I'm confused. People don't necessarily answer your questions, rather they just re state the problem from their own vantage point. Do professionals ever respond with an answer? Thanks and please answer my questions.

Hi Susan

I get very hot when my medication is wearing off and my dopamine levels are low. Particularly notice it at night.

As to the other questions, no professionals don't answer questions, this is a site for PwP and there are no professionals involved. You are right, people respond by writing about their experience. The Footer gives some explanation about the site.
