Battery change

Has anyone thats had DBS had their battery changed yet? Having trouble with mine staying on see the surgeon tuesday . Just curious

hi Grammyof3, my husband has had 2 battery changes.He goes in the day of the change and under a local anasthetic they make a small cut and change the battery. They put in a couple of stitches and put on a dressing.He is out the same day and then a couple of days later removes the dressing.He is switched straight back on so he doesn't have to be off to long.He says it doesn't take very long and he feels the benefit of the new battery immediately. Hope this helps,not sure if everywhere is the same but we live in north east uk.

Sounds great thats kind of what i thought. Shouldn't be no big deal thank u. I live in texas. I love to know where people are from in this one united parke world

I had my battery and my whole transmitter changed to an updated model this past January! I had it put in initially in 2006. Under a twighlight sleep of anesthesia I never new a thing was happening! Mine had been going off and on, on it's own for a while! So when it was done and I was awake immediately, the Neuro's assistant came and turned it on and reprogramed it, I was done and on my way home a happy girl with another miracle of medicine! A piece of cake! You made it through the original DBS! This is a piece of cake! No Worries! Prayers being said for you!

Ok two new batteries on the 9th. So here we go. But i know it will be fine
