Would anyone share their experiences with... - Cure Parkinson's
Would anyone share their experiences with Botox injections for reestablishing their "normal" posture , positive or negative experiences.
Hi I have been taking Botox shots for my eyes since 2008, I think, am not too sureabout the year, but it has been several years now....about 6 to 7 shots per eye every three months....no adverse side effects that I have noticed
I've been receiving Botox injections in my eyelids for over a year.. It is a miracle drug for me. i also get Botox in my neck and shoulder on the right side for Cervicle Dystonia.. without the shots, my head tilts to the right.. almost touching my shoulder.. Im able to hold my head up straight now.. i get injections every three months.. about 25 in total..
I can barely hold my head up and I lean to the right also. Do you get 25 shots for one treatment? Does it hurt a lot?
i get 12 injections in my eyelids.. the pain is worth it believe me.. the shots are merely uncomfortable in my neck and shoulder.. I get about 12 there also.. But i can now hold my head straight.. it doesnt tilt to the right anymore except toward the end of the three months.when im ready for my next dose. I have really noticed a difference with my eyes.. before botox.. my eyelids would close and i couldnt open them except by force with my fingers.. i would blink continuously.. My quality of life in these two issues greatly improved.. now if only i could do something about my freezing episodes!.. one day at a time i guess..
Anyone had the injections for leg dystonia?
Use to take botox in my legs thought it was a miracle then the started to not last long so when my three months came around neu increased dosage. Nothing happened then it hit i had reaction to botox doc said i was lucky didn't have to go on breathing tube it was bad thought i was going to die.took a month or more to get feeling better. But it was good while it lasted. I would try it lots of shots and they hurt but still for awile i could walk good
I was experiencing STIFF neck and shoulders (they felt like an immovable board) ... my neurologist administered Botox injections into my neck and shoulders (every 3 months for a year) and I can actually roll my shoulders and move my head from side to side and turn my head to look over my shoulders ... my "slumping forward" posture is much better and it's easier to hold my shoulders back while I walk - It was G-R-E-A-T for me ... not a cure but a wonderful relief ...
