Not just heated plastics. Per the second video, plastic food containers not exposed to high temperatures have also been shown to shed large numbers of micro plastic particles into food.
Scary
More, it is terrifying and we brought it on ourselves by letting our guard down and assuming that someone was responsible to monitor and was doing that. In the late 1960 s our garbage at the curb consisted of glass , paper and tin cans. Everything from ketchup to peanut butter came in glass jars because plastics did not really exist yet and Aluminum was too expensive.
Coke now comes in either , plastic bottles or aluminum cans . Where are the studies showing that is harmless. They were never done. Now , autopsy analysis of the brains of people who had PD , shows a build up of aluminum at much higher levels than people who did not have PD.
But soon it will not matter much that your sardines came in a plastic container because the little fish were already full of micro plastic before they were caught.
Look around you , it is everywhere, you can not avoid it.
well ... yes and no
Being AWARE of the problem gives you the POWER to make wiser buying decisions ... sometimes.
I never drink tap water. I only buy the gallon-sized Crystal Geyer ... of course that's only offered in ... plastic bottles.
But I've removed my plastic splatter catcher that was locked in with a magnet inside my microwave.
I'll continue to de-plastic whenever possible.
God no! You wanna kill me ... faster??!!?!
lol
LOL I use a carbon filter on the water line but seriously water bottled in plastic is high in micro plastics.
This might be a good time to buy company shares in glass bottle manufacturers because you are correct, sooner or later the world will stop buying plastic bowls, and food in plastic or aluminum. They can not do it yet , they would get very hungry
Sadly, this is not news to me. I'm so glad you posted it here. It's no wonder chronic conditions like PD are on a sharp rise... we are doing it to ourselves. And sadlyy have been for decades. Shortcuts and profits have been the driving force along with the notion that a "free market" economy would correct itself. It's sheer folly. And even more sadly, many of us are simply not capable of assimilating this information and becoming a critical thinker instead of panicking and shutting our ears. I wish there was a magic pill ... oh wait ... there is one, but there doesn't seem to be one to counteract it.
