Can anyone recommend a good neuro doctor ... - Cure Parkinson's
Can anyone recommend a good neuro doctor to me in Miami, Fl. Or at least a website on where to look.
I called my local Parkinson's Foundation program and asked the leader of it if he could recommend a doctor. He told me about a Movement Disorder Specialist that was located close to where I live. I hope this helps. Blessings.
Thank Maryalice for your response. I attend the University of Miami's movement disorder facility at Jacksom memorial hospitalz, and all they do is prescribe meds. They don't take the time to talk about new alternatives or maybe something unconventional that may help. The PF is in the same building as my doctor is, so he is well recommeneded by association.
I went to Dr. Victor Faradji he is in Kendall. I was very happy with him.
Cleveland Clinic has a location in Miami, they could be a of great help.
neurologists are easy to find...finding one who specializes in movement disorders, who you like a lot ,
and who makes you happy to have chosen them, might prove a bit more challenging. I would strongly recommend seeking out PD support groups in your area, attend their meetings and pose this same question to them.
Is there a web site just for finding movement disorder specialists?
I think the best way to find one is to contact the nearest PD association or support group near you. They are familiar with what's available in your area.
You can also try to google it.
I was sent to The University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida at the Nerological Movement Disorder Clinic. The Dr there I believe is the Director Of the Parkinson's Organization. I was really impressed with their clinic. They do everything there along with all the speech, PT , OT , pysch evaluation. They spent 2 days with me.
I came across this Parkinsons Research site this morning.....If you register, you can ask questions and get answers.
