I've been using their DuoCare laser for the past year (in addition to the Vielight neuro and vagus devices). I've experienced improvement in my symptoms across the board, particularly with constipation, insomnia, rigidity, gait, arm swing and balance.

That being said, light therapy is just one of the tools I employ. But I've turned the clock back on my symptoms by at least 3 years.

is there a post anywhere with all the tools you are using?

I don't have a separate post. I'm early in my Parkinson's journey, having been diagnosed a year ago but have experienced motor symptoms going back 5 to 7 years prior to diagnosis. I think it's too early to claim any victories, but I'm happy with how things are going so far.

Below is my current regime. Keep in mind that everyone's experience with Parkinson's is different and I'm not advocating any of these therapies. My approach has been to focus on mitochondrial health, and reducing oxidative stress and inflammation.

I am not currently on medication or using any form of levadopa , even Mucuna.

Therapies/tools:

- photobiomodulation or light therapy (Symbyx DuoCare, Vielight Neuro, Vielight vagus device, PlatinumLED panel)

- intermittent hypoxic therapy (alternating between low oxygen and normal oxygen environment using Higher peak altitude generator)

- vibration plate (Lifepro)

- LSVT Big physiotherapy program for Parkinson's

- Beechband app

- exercise regime with a focus on elevating heart rate. Includes brisk walking with weighted vest (Hypervest), spin bike, rowing machine, Bulgarian bag and Suples ball training. Smovey rings training, agility training using hurdles. I plan on adding strength training into the mix at some point

- listen to hypnotherapy to reduce anxiety and tremors

- intermittent fasting (eating within 6 hour window and fasting 18 hours each day)

Supplements:

- B1 sublingual

- B complex

- magnesium

- ashwaganda

- vitamin D3/K2

- CDP choline

- Ketoneaid exogenous ketones

- omega 3

- glutathione

In addition, I've gone on leave of absence from work as I believe reducing stress is priority number one.

I hope this helps

So my wife has been using the handheld Symbyx device for a few years. Diagnosed 2012. On both fast acting and extended release CDLD total 1600 mg a day. Also taking Entacepone and Amantadine daily along with vitamins. Unfortunately, I am not convinced the Symbyx device has helped her in some quantifiable way. I do believe the in premise and theory behind their technology. Symbyx has just completed a double blind study in Canada. I have queried them on the results. They say they will be publishing the results this year.

Symbyx also has published a 5 year study on their website that was very favorable. Little to no progression over 5 years. It's not sham controlled but I think we can probably rule out a placebo effect given the length of the study period.

It's not as though a pharma company is going to conduct a 5 year phase 3 study on a disease modifying drug. I doubt they'd conduct a trial longer than 2 years given that they don't want to invest the time and money in a drug candidate that may not pan out.

Good company from what I can see. Australian, partly owned by some if the PD researchers involved in some of the early studies, such as Anne Liebert.

I attended a seminar in Ediburgh last year hosted by their CEO, he was quite honest and says about 1/3rd of PwP using their products get a really good response, 1/3rd get a mild response and 1/3rd don't seem to respond much.

Hard to assess as we are really only evaluating a potential slowing of progression.

Impressed by your protocols btw, you are doing well for one year in.

SYMBIX Biome helps with one specific issue the increasing resistance to CL due to a biome imbalance. It’s believed that the laser therapy reduces the growth of bacteria causing the resistance.

I use the device for several years and it seems to have a noticeable effect.

The effect is not directly in relieving symptoms, but rather in improving absorption of CL through improved gut health and motility.

To further improve on that aspect I take daily personalized pre- and probiotic supplements.
