lactobacillus planetarium/ PS128 sources

Dear HU crew, any advice gratefully received. I already brew my own Kefir but want to increase my probiotics profile. I’m trying to source PS128 more cheaply than Bened Life or WellbeingSG. Has anyone tried this brand from Amazon - Epigenetics or have any thoughts? Don’t want to buy a dud product but also can’t afford the more expensive options! Thanks 🤩

This is a patented product therefore the availability of it is significantly limited and if you try to do a search for price on this you inevitably get offered about every probiotic out there and often you will also be offered other forms of plantarum which supposedly can be helpful but not in the same way.

That's just plain old Lactobacillus Plantarum rather than the specific strain LP PS128.

Neurax Biotic Spectrum is PS128 and looks to be cheaper than the two you have mentioned...sometimes available on Amazon UK and very likely available elsewhere in Europe.

I have found Pharmalite a more reasonable source for Neural Biotic. I actually prefer the sticks of the granulated ps128. A recent order included cold packs. Even with a high shipping fee (to the States),this is less expensive. A box of 30 sticks was 33.96 Euros. Go to pharmalite.com located in Milan. I hope this helps.

I tried the Epigenetics product for a couple of months. I got on alright with it, but no marked improvement. Possibly it's more of a long-term thing. I would like to try the PS128 strain though.

I now use synergia ‘neurobiotique’ ps128 Which is much more affordable and comes in ‘sticks’ which are working just fine..

I tried it for 60 days on two occasions last year. Unfortunately for me, there was no noticeable change In the irritability of my gut. I hope your results are better.

For me, oatmeal with small amount of milk and half a dozen prunes, for breakfast, has helped more. Also, not eating after 6pm seems to help me sleep better

Thank you so much everyone for your replies, very helpful and has given me a few ideas! It sounds like as with all things PD PS128 may not work for everyone. As there are few side effects it seems worth a try!
