This probiotic is directly linked to neuro re-development, but cant find a source to buy it from.
Anyone has experience with this probiotic?
From parkibot:
Probiotic Strains of Interest: Research has identified several probiotic strains that may be beneficial for Parkinson's patients, particularly in addressing gastrointestinal issues common in this population.
Lactobacillus plantarum PS128: This strain has gained attention due to its potential to improve motor symptoms and gut health in PD patients. Studies indicate it may enhance gut microbiota balance and improve functional outcomes, including reductions in akinesia symptoms [3].

I believe it naturally occurs in fermented foods such as sauerkraut. I did a quick search online and found a couple of brands which might be worth investigating but I can’t copy and paste the links.
The first is a company called nutri-link
the other is a company called Swanson.
I don’t know where you live, but these were UK links that I found.
Swansons carries plantarum but not the kind of plantarum that is PS128. It kind of depends on where you live what kind of availability you have. It goes by various names in various countries such as Neuralli, Neurobiotique, and Neuraxbiotic
I really don't understand why there are so many kinds of probiotics that have a similar name and sometimes some of these are patented making it so they are available only from the companies who are involved in the patent process- for example there is a a probiotic known as B. infantis and one variety in particular is patented but there is also at least one other probiotic called infantis
This is one that is patented:
There are multiple patents related to Bifidobacterium infantis 35624, including:
US 9,579,353 B2
This patent is for an encapsulated probiotic Bifidobacterium infantis 35624 in women with irritable bowel syndrome.
WO-2019145570-A1
This patent is about how Bifidobacterium infantis 35624 modulates inflammatory processes beyond the gut.
EP2176299B1
This patent is about the exopolysaccharide from Bifidobacterium infantis 35624 (NCIMB 41003).
Bifidobacterium infantis 35624 is a probiotic strain that is being investigated for treating gastrointestinal disorders. It is also said to help relieve symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) such as bloating, abdominal discomfort, and gas
Another similar probiotic is this but I do not know if it is patented.
Bifidobacterium longum BB536 was discovered in the intestines of healthy breastfed infants in 1969.[26] It is often used in nutritional supplement. In some small clinical trials, it has been shown to help defecation and relieve lactose intolerance symptoms.[27][28]
I use it when my gut is not good and normal probiotics don't work well. It is the only one specific for my gut and for me it works well. And when the gut is ok, all the rest of my body is ok.
The recommendation was to take before bed but that led to some disrupted sleep🤷🏻♂️. This post has prompted me to assess again 😃. At the time I was thinking about ps128 many suggested using a sample and culturing your own ps128 yogurt. My thoughts were you would then never know the potency of your culture. Another probiotic I bought to try was biokult mind. Bacillus subtillis pxn21. 😂. I need to finish sampling this as well. While I was looking at probiotics I also ordered some Nattokinase
I asked parkibot
“Does nattokinase help Parkinson’s “
Summary :The potential role of nattokinase in relation to Parkinson's disease (PD) has garnered some attention due to its enzymatic properties that may influence neurodegenerative processes. Nattokinase is a proteolytic enzyme derived from natto — a traditional Japanese food made from fermented soybeans. While a few references discuss nattokinase's possible interactions with neurodegeneration, definitive clinical evidence supporting its effectiveness specifically for Parkinson's disease remains limited.
Hello ~ I’ve had my HwP on it for close to 1 ½ years now excluding about three weeks when I took him off at the recommendation of a ND. The person didn’t think it was worth the cost. Within about three weeks his tremor and anxiety skyrocketed! Within a week back on it he was calmed down again!
He’s on Bened Life Neutrali PS 128. It took about 2 ½ months to see that it was helping him when he first started on it. I have no idea if it’s helping any other symptoms, but this is one that, for us, is definitely worth the cost!
It doesn’t work for everyone, but definitely worth a try!!!
