Has anyone had experience of using Creatine?
It seems exercise and using creatine supplement may be a good combination.

I use Creatine because I work out with weights and weight machines. It goes good with Whey Protein Isolate. I mix it all up in some plain greek yogurt. I call it my protein pudding! Im not sure it does anything for my PD, but it makes recovery of the muscles easier after workouts and makes muscles appear bigger.
Interesting link/ study. (Mouse)
This long term study in people - linked hereunder on Creatine was abandoned for futility

I don’t have PD, and don’t have a steady exercise regime but I have found it energizing, so I use it.
And as you may rightfully guess, I have added it to my spouse (PWP) nutraceutical stack. Hard to tell how much she benefits. Maybe I should get her to exercise more frequently to see the benefits 🌺

I use it, in conjunction with strength training. Also with whey protein.
My daughter, who is an ICU nurse, says she can look at folks who enter the ICU and predict who won't make it ... often based only on muscle wasting. She says she can't overestimate the importance of building muscle as you age!
Wow ok that’s good for thought. Thanks for that intel. I’m YOPD, 6ft and ectomorph body shape. I find it hard to gain muscle but will give the creatine a shot!
Michael Greger (of NutritionFacts.org) who reviews nutrition research has a video on Creatine. Creatine in conjunction with weight/resistance training = more muscle mass compared to adding one but not the other. This was for older people in general, not specifically for PD. Recommends a dose of 3 grams.
