I am going to try Creatine Monohydrate to help my muscles mass increase. Please can you share your personal experience with me? Any interaction between Creatine and PD medications?

Many thanks

Hi Kia, Creatine Monohydrate can help you increase your muscles mass only if you add solid physical exercises in your regimen. I would highly recommend micronized creatine powder Creapure. It is safe and really effective. And beware water retention, cycle the usage of it..

I use it 4 days a week. On days I lift and the day after. I like it. And i agree with what Kia said.

And no bad interactions for me.

Hi Kia, I struggle to build and maintain muscle. I’ve been taking buffered creatine Kre Alkayln powder that is supposed to be less harsh on the stomach. I’ve had no interactions but make sure to stay hydrated.

Kia17, did you try the creatine supplement? Did you notice any benefits or problems from using it? Were you also exercising at the same time that you were using it? I'm wondering how you got interested in taking creatine. Was it from a test result, or was it from your own research and reading?

I, too, am interested in experimenting with creatine. I've lost a significant amount of weight and muscle mass in the last few years. I had my annual visit with my primacy care physician a couple of months ago. She ran several metabolic tests. All the tests came back as good except for two things: the vitamin D was slightly low, and the creatine was significantly low. Low levels of creatine, as I have recently learned, can sometimes indicate a severe disease, but they most likely come from the person being older, having an illness, or being slightly underweight - that's me. (I eat a very healthy diet, but it's mostly vegan because animal protein keeps the levodopa from being absorbed.)

Anyway, please let us know of the outcome of your experiment.

I got the Creatine but haven’t started taking yet. I plan to take it soon and update here. A HU member who was on Ketogenic diet introduced the Creatine to me.

How has the creatine monohydrate going?

Having low carb diet has made me to loose some muscles and Creatine has helped me to regain my muscles. I have been taking it regularly for the past few months.
