Does anyone have experience with this ? FDA has approved TMS to treatmment MDD (Major Depressive Disorder)and the patient is drug resistant or has not found relief with anti depressant medications.
TMS;(transcranial, magnetic stimulation) - Cure Parkinson's
TMS;(transcranial, magnetic stimulation)
Yes I had several session done when I was first having PD symptoms a year and a half ago. My anxiety was extreme at the time. The treatments are unpleasant but tolerable. For my insurance to cover it, I needed three "failures" with antidepressants, which I had. I had a second shorter booster sequence done after 6-7 months as the anxiety was returning. It took months to fully work, but it did and I am happy with the results. It does not work for everyone though.
Thanks so much bak524. Did it help any of your pd symptoms . Am quite nervous about coming out worse than I went in. The thought of messing up my brain with magnetic waves scares me
My symptoms, as best I can tell, are on the mild side. I don't believe that it has helped with any other PD symptoms. I was reluctant to go the TMS route, but the suicidal ideation was beginning to scare me, so I was desperate. I am still trying to figure out C/L dosing, as even small amounts make me agitated and give me dystonia.
i hear you bak524, i am getting to that point i am so sick of throwing drugs at this disease
I've used a Diamag 3 transcranial PEMF device regularly for about 4 years with zero adverse side effects. My symptoms are fairly stable so maybe it has contributed.
For sure the device is excellent for managing atrial fibrillation, poor circulation, blood pressure and depression.
