it comes in different grades. Only pharmaceutical grade can be used by humans. It’s to do with the manufacturing process which has some contaminants in the cheaper form. It doesn’t interact negatively with levodopa, but cannot be used with other classes of drug, like some antidepressants and other MAOI.s Which it is warned may cause a serotonin crisis. I have used it to good effect. there are some posts on here about it if I recall.

Hi, My mom takes it (she has Parkinson's). Methylene Blue is helpful for fatigue as it facilitates energy production. There are even animal studies that would suggest that it halts the progression.

it affects the mitochondria which is central in Parkinson's.

I would classify it as a great thing to have around for helping with fatigue and general inflammation.

Treating Parkinson's is always going to be a multi faceted situation with diet & exercise being just as crucial along with many other useful supplements.

You do need to be careful what kind you buy.

This is the kind I get for her.

I use methylene blue every week. It gives me 5 or 10% more energy.I just put 10 drops in a glass of water and drink it. I do this two or three times per week.

I use it most days 10-30 drops, helps me with stiffness, energy and mental clarity. Had taken a break and took it up again when noticing more shaking in my right hand. I just use supplements, no Parkinson meds otherwise.
