Hello again. So after a ten-month hiatus after my initial consult, the NHS finally scheduled my LCT. There was only a marginal 'on' benefit. Do we have any idea what the percentage split is between the two outcomes? Thank you.

You don’t find that there’s too much difference in the early stages of the disease. I didn’t anyway. But you notice it later big style. 😂.
Tell me more.
Actually I’ve just realised that you mean the LCT in relation to DBS eh? Got it. Can’t give you any data I’m afraid but they have to assure themselves that Levadopa is working well, otherwise they believe that DBS won’t offer much relief?
My HwP has been taking levodopa with carbidopa for a couple of years- one 125mg tablet twice daily, increased recently to 1 and a half tablets twice daily. His main symptom is pronounced one-sided tremor and, so far, he has noticed no benefit. Or perhaps a very marginal benefit to his mild stiffness but no effect on his tremor. In the afternoon one and a half tablets sometimes make him sleepy. (He has been on Rasagiline 1mg continuously for 4years). Neurologist wants him to move up to 2 tablets twice daily, hoping for an effect on the tremor. But my HwP is sceptical this will give a significant benefit - have others had only marginal improvement of tremor on low doses and found significant benefit on 4 tablets a day? What dose is used in the levodopa challenge test?
Thanks for sharing that. At UCL, they gave me two 125 Madopar. forum.parkinsons.org.uk/t/m... They made an - estimated - 30% benefit on the standard tests, marginal. Plus, worsened my jaw tremor/tongue twitch.
Thank you, Dabaa.
