I wonder if anyone else experiences this. About 20-30 minutes after I take sinemet my tremors get worse for a few minutes, and then calm down.

Sinemet after 20 minutes
I bet you are taking the immediate release version. It gives you a burst of levodopa which is then converted to dopamine. The CR, controlled-release, version provides more steady flow.
You’re right, it’s not the CR kind. But why does a burst of levodopa cause tremors?
For me, immediate release C/L caused a jerky twitching, otherwise known as dyskinesia. Not exactly tremors, but could be labeled as such if a person did not know the difference. Is what you experience dyskinesia, or tremor just like your Parkinson's symptoms?
For me it’s just like my tremors. Told my neurologist, but he passed it off as being psychological.
Yes, I believe it's due to the initial "rush" of dopamine then it evens out.
Yes same with my granny but doesn’t calm down until she eats something
Try having it on an empty stomach and not eating or taking other supplements for 20-30 minutes. If it still does it try taking a uridine capsule at the same time. My husband takes the Jarrow one . I am not sure how much it helps or whether it is waiting for food but he doesn’t seem to have the same reaction now.
yes. Same thing for me but it's more like I have to wait an hour before that happens. It's crazy 5 minutes and I wail and curse the stars. Then the relief comes in on little cats' feet/
I don’t experience the immediate tremor, but I often get a minor sick stomach with the first, morning pill. Food often helps.
I get that too. I figure it has to get worse before it gets better and just deAl with it as a side affect.
