Plan to start this combo. I have a bottle each of Vitacost R-ALA 210mg and Vitacost NAC 600mg in my cabinet.
There are supplements available in this combination so safety concerns may be minimal, however if any of you wishes to post any personal experiences, concerns or warnings, or any research supporting / against this combo, please do so.

How Lipoic Acid Preserves Critical Mitochondrial Function
Lipoic acid maintains biochemical reactions within mitochondria, the cellular powerhouses that are important for producing cellular energy. These enzymes are vital for transforming foods in the form of sugars, proteins, and fats into usable cellular energy called adenosine triphosphate or ATP.
Another study suggests adding Acetyl L carnitine. I'm not a PwP, but I take NAC daily with no noticeable effects. In my view, supplementation is deemed successful because of what doesn't happen. No cancer, no other degeneration or disease, it's working
Just a comment. I'm surprised that L-ALA makes any difference because DHA and EPA tend to be the ones people don't get enough of.
