If your pain is mainly in your calf muscles when you stretch your legs on waking , try curling your toes upwards until your ankle moves a bit and this should ease the pain. It certainly works for me.

For quick relief rotate your right arm so that the palm of your hand opens facing up. Press your left thumb approximately 3 inches from your elbow towards your wrist in the center of your forearm until you feel the cramp subside. Do this when you feel a cramp coming on. It works pretty quick and easy to do!
