I take 1 25/100 and 2 rytary(48.75/195) at 8am, 3 rytary at 11am, 2 rytary at 2pm and 2 rytary at 5pm. I have very little off time. I was diagnosed two years ago at age 51 but it probably had Parkinson’s since I’ve been 40 years old. I was curious if I could get your opinion on if you guys think this is too much medication at this point thanks. Also take Amantadine at 8am 12noon and 4pm.
My current usage of C/L: I take 1 25/10... - Cure Parkinson's
My current usage of C/L
I’m 40; diagnosed 12 years ago. I get 25/100 pill- break it in two and take 10-12 half pills throughout the day every 2 hrs . Off time is there but I manage with 0.25 mg ropinorole sos.
There’s no fixed dose for c/l; depends on what works but over time, the cmax and T max both decreases. I don’t get the same energy I used to get 5 years ago when I started. Dystonia is there for both low n high doses. My advice-
See if you can manage with one pill less n take it from there. Take it with lemon water.
Few other considerations- Do you take anything post 5 pm? Are you actively employed? Are you able to sleep well and exercise?
I still work 40 to 50 hours a week. I exercise 5 to 6 times a week with weight training and cardio. My sleep could be better but it’s not bad. I get 5 to 6 hours uninterrupted. I take nothing after 5 PM. It’s like my symptoms go 90% away at night time.
If it’s working it’s not too much, IMO.
Hi BPWI currently take 8 stalevo 100mg throughout the day and 2 doses of amantadine. I noticed you take a third dose at 4pm. Was the reason for this to manage dyskinesia?
Was having problems really bad with dystonia and the third dose seem to help me.
I'm thinking of doing the same. But the Neurologist warned me that it may affect sleep if taken after 1pm. Also did you find amantadine caused you any unwelcome side effects, such as night time waking to pee, or constipation?
I’m able to get to sleep OK. I do go to the bathroom once or twice a night so I try not to drink too late. But I’d rather do that than have the pain I was having in my foot from dystonia.
