Do you take one at bedtime?
I did not for the first year and had such trouble with my left leg, calf, foot, toes.
Since I started taking Rytary at bedtime my leg has cleared up for the most part.
Is anyone taking Senimet at bedtime?

Yes, I am on Parcopa. ( Similar to Rytary,)…. I have set times I take it..,10am. 2pm. 7pm. Midnight. 5am. I. Set my alarm for midnight and 5am.
So it doesn't hinder sleep?
I take it at bedtime and it can be a little rough at 6am, it varies, but getting awake and past the fog can take a few hours.
Yes my husband does & it seems to be working for him. He takes the medication as usual during the day with an extra one when he wakes in the night.
I take it if I need it otherwise I can be in a great deal of pain.
Yes - I take it three times a day - when I wake, early afternoon and before I go to sleep. I have experiences a vast reduction in violent dreams and leg cramps. My neurologist also states it is better to maintain a consistent level rather than bouncing from on to off to on.
I also take Nortriptyline before bed which helps me sleep, reduces excess saliva and supposedly has been shown to slow progression.
It is valuable for me take my Parcoo on a set schedule., This means setting my alarm for midnight and 5am. It is difficult for me to. Move my fingers so I put out 3-4 pills for each dose cuz I drop things (especially small Things). Occasionally I fall back to sleep and miss 5am pill. That means it's much more difficult fir me to sit up and move my stiff lrgd. off the bed. My left hand is always constricted, fingers. wrapped in a tight ball. At. times I will wrap my 5am dose. in a Kleenex, put it in my closed left. hand and pop that in my mouth when 5am alarm goes off. I take Parcopa which dissolves in my mouth. I know that some P/People. Don't follow a dosing schedule + and have no problem. They get a better night"s sleep!
I take 3 capsules Rytary 23.75-95MG upon waking up in the morning, again at around noon, and a final dose around 6:00pm.
This has been very effective for me.
Rytary has been amazing for me! Love to know of anyone’s experience with this drug, as it IS expensive. Worth it to me, but wonder if others have been able to replicate the effects with Sinemet ER. My neurologist says Rytary is much more effective. I have never tried Sinemet ER. Thanks for any comments.
My neurologist also stresses importance of consistency of meds. I take 2 capsules Rytary 23.75-95 MG every 4.5 hours beginning at 7.30 a.m. Last dose is supposed to be at bedtime, but I usually need around 9.00-9.30 pm. I have been on Rytary about 1.5 years; better than C/L, which I still supplement with 1/2 tablet between Rytary doses. Rytary works well, but I still have wearing off periods and never last the 5 hours my neurologist originally wanted me to. I am almost 7 years since diagnosis and starting to get some dyskinesia, so some days eliminate one of the 1/2 doses, which helps some.
I also take Azilect and 4 mg Neupro patch. My sleep hasn't been good for years; I wake up a lot at night, but at least with Rytary can roll over more easily. I am up between 5.30 and 6.30 a.m. but put off first dose Rytary until 7.30 to stay on consistent dosing.
My husband takes two Sinemet, 25/100, 3 times a day, 9:30 2:30 8:30. No problems sleeping. Although he does get up several times to go to the bathroom but seems to go back to sleep ok. We are in the process of reducing pills, now at 4 1/2 a day.
Yes, I take C/L every night before bed OR else I will be unable to sleep. My rls will kick in and then I’m awake. In fact, I awaken every 3 hours for more. Then I am able to fall asleep again. Dopamine is VERY tied into the sleep / wake cycle.
I Senimet at bedtime with no problems.
