Original Pro Shiatsu Portable Massager Model 9232 Does this thing actually work?

Wondering whether anybody finds that this thing does work, and if so, what does it work on well?

I mostly use it on my neck while sitting in my recliner partially reclined. It seems like I use mine upside down because I use it the opposite way from the photo (it has one two-way switch so it rotates two directions, so upside down should be fine). I just like having the wide plastic part resting on my shoulders so I can easily control how much I lean my neck into it.
