There's a thread on this forum where a group of individuals work together to develop DIY gloves that can potentially help those with Parkinson's disease. The more brainpower and support we have, the faster we'll be able to make progress and potentially come up with solutions. If you know anyone with an audience, whether it's on YouTube or elsewhere, please let them know about our efforts and encourage them to spread the word. Together, we can make a difference for those living with PD.
An example comment :
Stanford scientists are conducting trials on a potentially ground-breaking device called vibration gloves. These gloves are designed to help individuals with Parkinson's disease and are showing promising results. You can find videos about them on YouTube to learn more. While the device is not yet available for widespread use, it is expected to be released in a few years pending successful trials and FDA approval.
In the meantime, a community of people is working on developing a DIY version of these gloves using scientific papers available online. If you're interested in supporting their efforts, check out this link for more information:
Please share this information with others if you believe that this kind of technology has the potential to make a significant impact for those living with Parkinson's disease.

The slow (but not slow enough) progression of PD gives us each a period of about 10 years during which time we can get up to speed on the science of PD and to the development of treatments for PD. In addition, on being diagnosed with PD we don't suddenly lose our prior skills in biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, engineering, computing etc.. There is the potential for PwP and their family and friends to form a vast army to fight against this terrible disease.
This may be the company that is making the vibrotactile gloves
I just emailed them to find out if they know about upcoming clinical trials. I am hoping maybe there will be phase 2 or phase 3 clinical trials with more locations but I will let you know what I find out
I have already been using a small lighter model of a massage gun over my hands and arms in similar positions of the gloves seen in the research papers. My diligence in doing these kind of things including exercise is not great .
I am still too busy living my life quite full on and working.
I am 61 , female, diagnosed in Dec 2016, now possibly thought to have a family mutation that manifested as early as 7 or 8 when I was a proper tomboy
There in lies the answer- maybe trying out whacky ideas has kept things at bay till a bit of middle age gloom set in
