Keto good for losing weight, for people with diabetes, bipolar disorder, and more.
Quote: "Once you trend towards more normal mitochondrial function and metabolic health, that's restoring neurotransmitter systems, it's even restoring blood flow to the brain," says D'Agostino."
Quote: "The effect of ketosis on the mitochondria is one hypothesis for why keto diets could work, but it may not be the whole story.
Much of the data on how the diet affects the brain come from research into epilepsy and other neurological diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.
I took a quick look at some articles in medical journals and found that the Keto diet helped improve non-motor symptoms for people with PD. Ketogenic diet for PD is still being studied.

Inflammation affects all parts of the body and our genes decide which cells are most sensitive and how they react. (either shutting down or over reacting causing auto immune diseases) and one of the causes of systemic inflammation is excess blood sugar which a keto diet addresses.
And avoid flour based foods like bread, cookies (starch is just a chain of glucose molecules) and cakes and fruit juices. and restrict fruit to only berries
The fact that ths results were so overwhelmingly positive and that no one reported adverse effects surely suggests that there's no reason not to give it a try
In the current Western society, it is a disease that everything, even diets, is polarized. Vegans versus carnivores. Thal and Eryl there is something called the middle ground. Fortunately Ekberg’s video has a remarkable final message: “Variety in the long run is a little bit more optimal”. It sounded little substantiated, but more like a realistic whim, but it relieves me of a lot of stress on how to eat the recommended 1.5 kg of meat for me today.
I do not eat a pure carnivore diet though I have increased my meat consumption, I'm just providing evidence that a pure carnivore diet will do no harm and could offer solutions to health problems if only for a short term. My diet is mixed but avoids processed foods especially refined carbohydrates( like bread and other flour based foods) and refined seed oils.
After posting all those links and videos, I truly believe that moderation is key. Something like OMAD, where you can reap the benefits of ketosis and still enjoy some carbs.
Have a look at the post from 38yroldmale who is now 43yroldmale 😜
Moderation is key. Neurologist suggested eat more veggies, reduce red meats, eliminate processed foods and avoid sugar. Since HWP enjoys deserts, the Keto diet seemed appealing and a way for him to lose some weight. His physical activity is limited.
