there are at least '4' different models of these types of gloves ... so do a little digging before you try and buy (Amazon gives us 30 days to return these!)

well they are both gloves
The Tass gloves use vibration at specific frequency and pressure on the end of the finger tips to reset the brain.
These gloves are operated by compressed air and are for retraining the brain to manipulate the hand and reopen communication after a stroke.
Both miracles
yes i know the Tass gloves well ...
it would seem to me that these Amazon gloves can be adapted -- with a BIG BIG time saver since the mechanics and design of the gloves is already completed ...
i have posted several times DIY "Tass-like" gloves ... did you see any of those posts?
you can also search on YouTube to watch "how to make your own PD gloves"
There was a time , but no longer able to do that kind of precise work.
The manufacturers of the vibration plates called them exercise equipment and did not require FDA approval and sell for $150 .
I believe that the Tass party called them disease treatment instruments and then got in line for the FDA.
They released a few videos mostly about one patient, and then went quiet with the details . It seems to be all about patent protection and advance advertising for what will be a very expensive product and a gold rush to obtain it. Soon I think they will start a purchase program sight unseen and a list of interested buyers and I would expect the price to be four to five thousand dollars, maybe more for the instruction videos and follow up fine tuning. Think presold Tesla electric cars. How many PwParkinsons are there and there are rumours that it works on other brain diseases. Could be Billions of dollars .
A bit jaundiced, in the light of published research by Tass over an extended period, but you are correct, the only thing the gloves in this thread and the Stanford gloves have in common are the letters g, l, o, v, and e.It would be quicker and easier to adapt a food processor than it would these gloves.
Which suddenly makes you appreciate the fda and regulation
While this is perhaps the most extreme example of completely failing to understand the point about Tass gloves, there are dozens of others saying "it's a glove and it vibrates, so even if it's not quite as good, it's cheap, easy and available"
A bit like if buntanetap were successful as a new drug, going out to buy aspirin, cos buntanetap is a drug and so is aspirin so it's nearly the same and good enough.
You're right on another point too. I would expect them to be priced between $5000 & $10000 a pair
well winnie, i strongly disagree and have FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE with greatly alleviating my THOUSANDS of internal tremors ...
for the past several months i have been resting each of my arms (in bed, at night) on top of a VIBRATIING MASSAGER ...
I gently grip the top of the vibrator and fall asleep like this ...
1. it masks my tremors to where i don't feel them
2. allows me to get very restful deep sleep
3. during the day my tremors are very minimal
---------------------------------
and you can buy this for about $60 on eBay ... so if THIS massager works for ME .... WHY NOT experiment with the Amazon gloves for a few bucks and combine those gloves with some of the techniques shared by the DIYers who have made their own "Tass-like" gloves? I posted several of these videos here ... this past week

Please join one of the Zoom calls. You will learn that WinnieThePoo knows more about the Tass gloves than anybody in our group. If you want the effect of the Tass glove you need to either build one or wait for them to hit the market.
It's great that you are getting a benefit from vibration. There are a lot of vibrating devices that seem to help PwP. Please just don't mix those vibrating devices up with the Tass glove. You will just lead people astray.
Here is the Zoom call info. There is a lot of experience on the calls:

thanks for the invite
but i prefer my anonymity
i'm not mixing up devices
i've been explaining what 'I' do for relief ... which works ...
My heart goes out to those folks who really need the genuine "Tass gloves"
But as we know, they are not available for some weird reason.
Meanwhile, we've all seen the great videos of DIYers who make their own gloves...
But that is far far too complicated for 99% of us ...
So when I accidentally discovered the Amazon gloves, I didn't expect the "negative reaction" here ... Very weird.
Because the Amazon gloves (NOT designed for PD) ... would seem to be a likely "starting point" for modification based on the directions given by the DIYers.
My mom always used to say: "To each his own."
The problem was that you called the Amazon Gloves a miracle. This forum is full of desperate people looking for miracles.
These Amazon gloves don't even vibrate. They pump air into the fingers to provide resistance to moving your fingers. It would not lend itself to modification into Tass type gloves. Sorry.
I, like you, have not been diagnosed. My symptoms are minor. I do things that I think work too. I think people like us should not oversell protocols. After a few years here you will see plenty of new people that think they have slain the dragon only to find out, over time, they have not.
I appreciate all of your posts. We need to keep throwing things against the wall to see what sticks
I repeat... for the LAST time ... and this is my FINAL post here ...
These gloves can be a MIRACLE in the right hands if they are MODIFIED per the DIYer videos that many have posted including myself.
end of story on this post for me
No Bolt, no one has ever proven that one glove works better than another so each of us has the right to our own opinion.
Not even Tass, after 10 years of work, has definitively demonstrated that gloves work .
So in the absence of results no one can claim to have the truth in their pocket.
If you have better results, show us or let everyone speak as they think best.
like this guy in video.
he also seems to get results and courage to be seen by everyone in a video , not in words!
if I wanted to prove that my gloves work I would make a series of videos like these and I won't go around saying that the others don't work without ever havin seen oor tried on.

PS: in another thread we could discuss the fact that simply looking for a cure or believing that a cure is possible, regardless of what it is, has a great therapeutic value for PwPs even just from a mental point of view.
for me this must be respected in whatever one believes.(as long as it doesn't hurt😀)
Thank you for all you do WinnieThePoo. It is greatly appreciated.
if the gloves really end up costing $5000 or $10000 it would be a travesty. With scale production, especially if the technology is licensed to several manufacturers, you’d hope the price would be less. I don’t deny that the inventors should become very well rewarded for this work, but you just hope that their motivation is more pure in the pursuit of scientific greatness. The real fear is that US medical industry ends up distributing the gloves to the public with all the profiteering that that seems to imply.
I'm sure Peter Tass was genuine in his desire to supply "affordable". But the term is relative. There are a few on this forum who consider $70000 at Sonimodul "affordable". At the moment, the cmf tactors are $300 a piece, so 8 of those is $2400 and the control box is $1500. So "cost" for the current glove which Synergic are trialling is just shy of $5000. Yes, there may be discounts for production volumes, but add 1/3 for patent royalty and 1/3 for overheads / profit , and you are in the $8000 region
There may be ways to duplicate that performance cheaper - but based on current implementation that's what you are looking at. And this is the "Ford Fiesta" glove. Stanford will be focussing on the "racing car" glove, which would appear to involve a brain scan / feedback mechanism.
It's not going to be a couple of hundred bucks.
In my opinion you give too much importance to tactors, the tactors foreseen in the recent patent are piezoelectric, more stable and precise, llight, and less expensive, but they certainly require more technical skill in programming them. I think Tass could easily keep the promise regarding the cost.

please search through and find my posts this past week...
i posted multiple videos from DIYers (do-it-yourselfers) who have made their own PD gloves and GIVE YOU step by step directions!
there is a long stretch between the vibration of the clikety clack of a railroad track and vibration of a finger tip. Lots of room for other vibration modes and frequency to be of benifical use. It may not reset the brain the way the Tass Gloves are claimed to do but it may indeed be helpful. I tried a powerful vibrator that we use on shoulders that has a big soft ball on the end which I squeezed with my finger tips while vibrating .
I was amazed at how much it helped. Now would that not be funny if an existing tool did the same job as the gloves 😆😆😆
looks like you did not read my post just above yours... do you see the IMAGE i posted of MY massager that i have two of in my bed??? please read that post

as far as your comment about my idea to modify the Amazon gloves and the "Tass Gloves" ... 1. the "Tass Gloves" are NOT NOT NOT available! 2. I posted several DIY videos to make your own "Tass-like gloves" and 3 ...
"A good plan TODAY is better than an excellent plan ... tomorrow."
Doncha thunk?
I wonder if I can get a similar result for the vibration of my lawnmower as I cut the grass? Just a thought.
have a nice day!
Isn't it the goal here to help each other out? I did see a video in which Peter Tass said a goal is that this treatment be available at a cost that would be affordable and that the treatment would not just be available to a patient who is well to do

exactly right!
even though i'm 99.9999999999% healthy/ perfect (today) ...
my symptoms (after 2 1/2 years) are very very very slowly ... increasing.
So i'm doing my VERY BEST for myself to keep my symptoms under control until whatever I have (thousands of internal tremors, mostly in my forearms but everywhere else including my eyelids, lips and left side of my face...) STAYS very very very mild ...
UNTIL ... they find a CURE ...
for ALL of us at whatever stage were at with whatever neuro condition we have
That presentation was 5th June. It's 12th October today. Has there been any announcement about the preliminary trial that is planned which will then enable them to start a product licencing trial?I am pleased to be at the 2.5 month point with my gloves, very much looking forward to moving to the maintenance routine at the end of November. It's fair to say that, perhaps because I still work full time, I find 4 hours a day a real challenge. Were it not for my wife's support and determination I suspect I would have slacked. So roll on 22 November!
Is this the MIRACLE we've been waiting for?
In summary, no.
No but it is part of the invention and discovery process. Ford did not invent the automobile, there were many before his . Similarily Edisons light bulb and Elon Musks electric car or Mr. Tesla's direct current electric battery system. They just improved and made them affordable for the average person. We stand on the shoulders of giants.
Peter Tass gloves might be the miracle we've been waiting for - or at least, a really worthwhile non-invasive theraupeutic aid for PD. But the gloves in this thread are assuredly not a miracle for PD. Stroke rehab maybe - or injury rehab. I had a good friend badly injured in a motorbike accident who needed something just like that, to help him develop and strengthen injured tendons.
