Can anyone explain what is happening? I find that eating results in my feeling weak and prone to having headaches To avoid this I don't eat until late morning then find things I can do that don't require me to move around. I usually feel cold a couple of hours after eating and start to feel better around 4-5 o'clock. I have a snack about 5-6 ,not because I feel hungry but because I aught to. I drink around 6-7 travel mugs of liquid a day ; sometimes more if I can manage. I find that organic virgin coconut oil helps with feeling bloated and helps with constipation I am gluten and dairy free and have been for 30 years. My blood pressure varies between 140/90 and 112/67 with HR 62- 90 ; taken when sitting.

Have you looked into your blood sugar? I don’t know a lot about it, and maybe it’s high or low.

Moggy,

It may not be related to your eating but to something else like your meds. For instance I feel weak when I take sinemet, it lasts about an hour. I feel cold late afternoon and it seems to be relieved by sinemet. If I drink alot I have trouble eating, no room for food.

Your BP suggests autonomic dysfunction which we all seem to get. Does your BP drop noticably when you take it lying down then standing. Mine does and I can feel quite nauseous.

I suggest that what is happening to you may be due to a number of factors. PD likes to keep us guessing. It may be a slowing of your gut movement which happens with autonomic dysfunction.

By chance I have found that omeprazole (a PPI ) in the morning has made a big positive difference to my appetite.

Good luck.

Is there anything I can do about it

I take my blood pressure after my last dose or second to last dose of the day and it pretty much registers like yours.

Sinemet does that.

How do you manage it. I find it debilitating

l move less or more depending on how low the pressure is. My fear is that of falling because that's what results in my falls.

Talk to your doctor about reducing Sinemet and replacing it with something else ; replacement of the deficit of course.

Consider Postprandial hypotension (PPH). PPH is defined in the past as a fall in systolic blood pressure of 20 mmHg within 2 hours of eating a meal
