NAD+ IV’s

I just got some NAD+ IV’s and I have to say, I haven’t slept this good in years and smelling things I forgot about. Also food tastes way better. You lose this as we age any low levels are correlated with PD. I have felt at times my affected side almost as loose as my good side. Everyone with PD needs to supplement this. No side effects either!

It’s #2 most effective supplement according to this study of over 1100 PD patients by doctor Laurie K. Mischley. This is the most important document I’ve ever read that can help those with PD. Dr Mischley believes with eating the right foods, certain supplements and exercise that Parkinsons can be treated like diabetes. That was the most encouraging thing I’ve heard a doctor say!

You need to watch this! You need to study this document!!!

Please share some additional detail - how much NAD you received and how often?

NAD = nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide

mdpi.com/2072-6643/15/4/943

"NAD levels were significantly lower in the PD cohort compared to controls ... (NAD: 0.75 mM ± 0.05 vs. 0.91 ± 0.04). Muscle endurance and specific force were also lower in both hand and leg muscles in the PD subjects. ...Results from this pilot study contribute to a growing body of evidence that PD is not a brain disease, but a systemic metabolic syndrome with disrupted cellular energetics and function in peripheral tissues."

cell.com/cell-metabolism/pd...

"a phase I trial of NAD-replenishment therapy with oral nicotinamide riboside (NR) in Parkinson’s disease (PD). NR increased cerebral NAD levels, and this was associated with altered brain metabolism and clinical improvement. The findings nominate NR as a potential neuroprotective treatment for PD"

I did start NAD+ in supplement form about a month ago. I’ve gradually felt a little better. The protocol I was on was 1000mg IV for 4 straight days. I was only able to do 3, I’m doing the 4th Monday. The results were quite dramatic. He says 1000mg every 3 months after as a maintenance dose after the loading dose. The purpose of the 4 in a row is to get your levels up quickly.

The drawback is the cost. My buddy gave me a good deal but it’s quite expensive. I’d shop around. He runs a IV clinic and has seen his business go way down since the Covid free money ran out. Maybe somebody will need to get rid of some (that’s my buddy's problem)

Every PD patient needs to take this.

I’ve heard that making sure the source of the NAD+ is important, not all laboratories are reliable. I’ve been told which one is the most reliable (supplies Greenfield Center in Louisiana, the or one of the pioneers of NAD+ therapy for addiction) but I don’t remember. I’ll try to find out.

Hello,Good for you, and for us!

Could you please give dose and brand, more particularly B2, glutathione, gingko bilbo. For oral NAD, I decided to buy the brand involved in the PD trials, Tru Niagen.

Did you see a decrease of effect when you moved to oral NAD+?

enjoy,

I take b2 50mg b2, every 8 hrs. (3 times a day) I basically follow the study Dr Coimbra did for PD patients that tested low in b2 in blood test (I was severely low b2 without supplementing) It also included no red meat. I’ve taken a few different brands, I tried methylated version but I didn’t handle it well. I don’t believe the source of b2 is critical.

I started Ginko and NAD+ about the same time (only 1-2 months) I am not sure they are the best choices, they seem to work.

I take

3 doses of 250mg of Ginko and 1000 mg of NAD+ split into 3 doses. I take 3 doses 500 mg of glutathione.

I noticed a small improvement before the IV of NAD+. The IV gets your levels up quickly, that’s how I could feel the difference. I think overtime, supplementing can be as good, just takes longer.

I ordered the Tru Niagen today, which I believe is the Precursor of NAD+, so I’ll do both.

what about oral NAD?

38yroldmale in reply toSandmanliz

Definitely would work, just would take longer to see the effect. I was taking NAD+ before for about a month but I wanted to see how getting my levels up quickly would feel.

the compounding pharmacy recommended by Dr. Mesteyer is Archway, in Louisiana. If you’re going to try IV NAD+, best to find a provider who uses them.

I am interested in starting NAD+. I checked out the Amazon link for Tru Niagen. Which do you recommend taking it in one dose or splitting it into 2 doses? Thanks for any information about this or other suggested brands of NAD+.

I take Tru Niagen. I split the doses. I also take NAD+ and non-flush Niacin supplements as well. I don’t know what brands are good except Tru Niagen. I have tried a couple of less expensive ones and can’t tell a difference

Thanks for the info. I purchased the one dose already and started it for 2 days. Maybe next time I will try the split dose.
