Hi. The surest way of reversing your PD symptoms is to do regular FAST WALKING, Walking as fast as you can every second day is the best tried and tested exercise, proven by clinical trials by the Mayo Clinic. If yo want any more information please call me.

Hi. One hour every second day, walking as fast as you can. is the ideal way of staying fit!

I hope that helps.

Kind regards

John

ping pong or table tennis is we call it. Some form of physical activity which is novel - that is, moves or next thing to do, cant be predicted - so your brain is forced to find new pathways/work a bit harder....and obviously walking is great - but walking on sand, over rocks even better - from time to time at least

and try laser on the gut for 20 minutes, every other day at home, using a cold laser called the PDCare by Symbyx. some users get relief from tremor from this - and many other benefits.

diet made a huge difference for me. Cut dairy, fried food and reduce meat and sugar.

Also consider beta blockers (inderal/propranolol). Not sure if you would consider that medicine but its a beta blocker calming drug and helps me with tremors and anxiety. I take it every so often before stressful events.

I avoided levadopa for 8 years by taking beta blokas on occasions for the 'essential' tremor. And I walked almost daily and played squash. There is great value in avoiding the nocebo of a neurologist who sees no hope. There is hope. Howard Shifke is one who recovered completely 13 years ago with no meds. Dancing and meditation reduce tremors.

I don't have tremor yet so cant comment on that one. I pretty much refused medication for 5 years concentrating on varied activities. Walking, running, stretching,... any physical activity that you can manage will be good. I think meds will eventually play a part at some but if my consultant s had their way I'd have been needlessly on a full cocktail for 5 year.

My key suggestion if newly diagnosed is to at least try activities, diet,b1.. without meds. Try to get a feeling for what helps and what doesnt. Then decide on meds/dosage or not.

Sleep is hugely important and strategies to manage it.

As for me the biggest improvements have been from High Dose Thiamine (B1) and exercise. I recommend Dap1948 ’s book and her Facebook Group.

Hi, there!

My husband has been diagnosed ten years ago, he has neither tremor nor diskinesia. His worst problem nowadays is the pain in his legs, but it goes on and off. He takes mucuna pruriens and Parkinel four times a day.

We have also adopted a diet from the moment of diagnosis on: no grain, no rice, no milk, no processed food, en general, food suitable for celiac people.

Besides, he takes several supplements: Tiamine (B1), Lion's Mane Fungus, natural anti-inflammatory drops, 1 spoonful of chia oil and another of sesamo oil and magnesium. There are many articles about the relationship between gut and brain.

I hope you will be able to find out and put into practice some of my suggestions. They are really helpful.

Have any of you tried PS128 or any other clinical trial???

I tried PS128 for a few months, 3-4. No discernible difference. It’s quite expensive so it made sense to cut it from my rather expensive and extensive stack.
