Parkinson’s medication is used unsuccessfully for RLS however My burning question is would Buprenorphine 2 mg stop Parkinson’s tremor.

I have been to hell and back to longer story to tell however you can read my profile if you desire.

October 2019, I left my hospital room after discharge myself and flew from Australia to NY and met the most caring , humble , genuinely compassionate doctor ever.

He looked across the desk clasped his hands around mine and said let’s make you well all that after 3 minutes in his room.

And he did just that 10 day trial of drug I had never heard of 2 mg Buprenorphine sublingual

I did not take it all at once I broke it up into pinheads and started slow.

It instantly stopped 24 hr a day full blown Restless body and I slept for the first time in month and was still in the same position the morning I had not moved a muscle.

I was visiting my GP today and I we talked about this very subject.

He is absolutely astonished at the results his RLS sufferers are receiving from Buprenorphine / Subutex with zero creepage or augmentation.

He said he is so tempted to try it on one of his Parkinson’s patient however he is in a nursing home and I don’t think they would cope with the weaning on stage as 2 mg first night is to much for most and needs breaking up into 8 to 12 pineads and weaned onto over a few days.

Is there a reason why slowing the central nervous system with Buprenorphine would not stop Parkinson tremor ?

We are currently setting up fund raiser to collect 100000 pounds for a clinical study on the use of buprenorphine for RLS Professor Walker will head the study.

Very exciting as I personally have approximately 100 people now on Buprenorphine and the success rate is in the very high 90 percent range.

Buprenorphine is a veterinary sedative. I experimented with it but didn't find it helped. Definitely didn't stop the restless leg problem.

I wonder what form you were on.

Professors at john hopkins and other major players in restless legs are getting terrific results.

However receiving the correct kind is important.

Most people require 24 he coverage which is the mg version .

Some people are blessed that they only require 5 hour half life mcg and definitely should not be the Naloxone blend.

I was the first person in Australia on it and also apear to be the first on HealthUnlocked forums. We now have approx 100 people who have total relief from this vile disease due to buprenorphine .

Interesting. Study here: academic.oup.com/sleep/arti...

My mum has Parkinson's and has been using 20mcg Buprenorphine patches (to counter the pain from a crumbling spine) for a number of years. It has made zero impact on her tremors.

Right now I'm tapering the Buprenorphine dose - due to gastroparesis and increasing doubts about its analgesic efficacy - and this, again, has made zero difference to her tremors.

Gary I took have major spine issue probably form all the standing and never sleeping prior to Buprenorphine.

I need a triple fusion however like your Mum I cannot have it die to nothing to screw it onto. So I was only on my feet to 3 hours a day then I was in agony lying on an electric blanket full blast in an Australian summer.

I nursed for 9 years and I’m a good researcher.

So short version my saviours are

I order traumeel and Zeel online and pay a nurse to initially 3 times a week to inject all areas that hurt from sciatic nerves , base of head , neck , shoulders the lot. I learnt about it from Dr Suzanne Levine in NYC as she had injected it into my Morton neuroma 3 injections over 7 days gave me 8 months relief . I usually go once a year my nurse won’t do my foot he’s worried about infection. It homeopathic and shrinks the nerves and Ned’s them to sleep.

Other injections much the same areas EVERY quarter it’s Xeomin now don’t be fooled , people will tell you it’s Botox yes it works similar but far superior. It does not have the protein reaction the causes Botox to become ineffective and only last for weeks instead of months.

Pain cream I no longer need but this stuff is absolutely gold.

THE BEAUTY ELIXIRS - pain cream for RLS best pain cream I have ever used.

It homeopathic hand made by Bettina Spretki in California honestly this stuff I have tried on friends , it give 4 hr relief for my friend with tennis elbow.

I completely resolved a man bursitis it was incredible to see this big ball of fluid go he had it ever very painful. My GP said it was a miracle for him when he injured himself in the gym I gave him a small sample pot I had he could not believe it . I have so many stories .

I will try to find a photo of her site or Instagram page , you can order on line.

My Gp is getting some results with his Parkinson’s patients in CBD oil, Bettina CBD and products are best I have ever used they are pure she is a second generation , she took off where her mother left off so she has a lot of knowledge with blending things that actually do what they say they will.

Ps CBD for pain does take time to build p though at least 7 days.

However her CBD works in seconds for my asthma . Within a minute I can breathe and big lumps of sputum come up it works for 4 hours on me.

Nice to hear your comments this is the best place to find and share information.

It’s like we have to work things out ourselves because the doctors do not know how to.

The patches aren’t the best mcg dose not comparable and buprenorphine is not good for pain My daughter tried patches for pain no good.

Is she having miralax for her bowels ?

I use the UK equivalent of Miralax pretty sparingly/ in small amounts. Between that and magnesium citrate, warm prune juice, and Vit C her constipation is nicely managed.

If coming off Buprenorphine does not improve the gastropareis, I will have to press a likely reluctant gastroenterologist into prescribing Prucalopride.
