Hubby is having this problem again, always his most distressing symptom.. Contrary to their findings, increasing levodopa increases his anxiety, as does SSRIs. The only thing that lessens it are benzos ie clonazapam. In the past increasing Hardys DEN reduced it but this time nothing seems to be working. As a child he was very allergic to grasses and was treated with steroids. He doesn’t get hayfever any more. I am wondering if the sensation he has as anxiety is actually a histamine reaction making him feel fluey and internally itchy and inflamed.
