Also read that Turmeric oil extracted with CO2 (carbon dioxide) is better than steam distilled.

Why is liquid CO2 extraction better than steam distillation?

In steam distillation, the molecular composition of both the plant matter and the essential oil are changed due to the temperature applied. On the other hand, a CO2 extract is closer in chemical composition to the original plant from which it is derived, as it contains a wider range of the plant's constituents

I have learned to be skeptical of essential oils the hard way – I ordered cinnamon essential oil from over a half-dozen different different vendors, and not a single one of them was genuine or even close. The primary constituent of cinnamon essential oil is cinnamaldehyde, which carries a powerful aroma of cinnamon. None of them had this aroma at all. Neither did any have the correct freezing point. I had prior experience on earlier occasions with other essential oils that did seem to be genuine, including cinnamon.

Another way to increase the bioavailability of turmeric is to consume this spice with a source of fat (such as avocado, nut butters and nuts, fish, etc.), and therefore curcumin will directly be absorbed into the blood stream and bypass the liver.Jun 28, 2019

My husband has not taken turmeric oil but he has taken the nanocurcumin but it is hard to tell how beneficial it has been but supposedly it is the most bioavailable.

What is the most bioavailable form of turmeric?

What is the difference between curcumin and Nanocurcumin?

Nano-curcumin has a significantly higher bioavailability after oral use as compared to simple powder of curcumin. After oral administration, nano-micelle of curcumin open in the stomach in less than 15 mins and are transferred to the small intestine. This product has a higher bioavailability than Ordinary curcumin.Jul 3, 2020
