Thanks for sharing. Lots of correlation with Tim Spector's work. It's not specific to Parkinson's but all about the gut microbiome. He suggests eating 30 different plant sources a week to keep our biome diverse, as different strains seem to have different functions. Some of the less desirable ones make us crave unhealthy food too. Fascinating stuff.

In the old days my dad made wine without a starter yeast. Wife's granpa made sauerkraut. Natural fermentation. Don't think one can do that now. Too many pesticides.

Very interesting approach she is utilizing! I can see the potential to generate a significant amount of useful data. To take this a step further, her results would be very useful to help MJFF to more specifically focus the dispersal of their funding of studies to increase potential benefit to PwP.
