+* 8/30/22 Day 7 (1wk) - restart of TTFD (B1): C/L: 5tabs a day, Sleep: my normal 7hr, BP: under control, Mania: under control, Energy: Good, Tremor: Not seeing improvement seen last time yet.

First, I want to state; I do not endorse TTFD as a B1 for High Dose Thiamine (HDT). There are a lot of unknowns and very little research on TTFD.

- 2days ago, I added back the 1/2tab C/L that I lost changing to 1-1/2 (3) times a day by changing evening dose to 2tabs.

In Dap1948 's book she warns, “… do not increase your medications, add other supplements… until you have established the correct B1 dose for you”. I am not good at following Protocols. The mood stabilizer and BP meds were a necessity. Both won’t matter this time, because a new base has been established. I did try Sublingual during the break and had increased BP problems (I believe PD caused BP problems and may have been return of symptoms). I did take an 11day break between Sublingual B1 and retrying TTFD.

For reference; healthunlocked.com/cure-par....

Low BP is the most studied in PD because a drop in pressure when standing causing falls. I reread healthunlocked.com/redirect... I am having a difficult time determining which statement indicates High BP too. “Typically, when discussing the cardiac effects of PD, the focus is on nOH. Another cardiac effect in PD however, is changes in heart rate.” (Nowhere in article does it actually state High Blood Pressure. I guess I jumped to conclusion if failure of sensors to detect pressure leads to decrease may also be failure of sensors to detect pressure leads to increase.)

I am adding another comment because HU keeps losing the link when I edit.

All I can really say as proof is; I was having off periods before my C/L was due, change to 3 times a day and C/L helped tremendously to stabilize my HP.

Excuse me please, what does TTFD stand for? (I’ve been unable to follow the posts for a while). Thanks.

I found a 20mg tablet of fursultiamine alinamin-kenko.jp/products/... . Currently out-of-stock at Amazon, so I have no cost of. On a product from the same manufacture it clearly states 100mg is 3 tablets, so I highly suspect this is 20mg for 2 (so 10mg ea).

In a previous email on a 100mg product they stated: Comparison of Alinamin EX Plus and TTFD—It is difficult to answer, since there is no comparison data between Alinamin EX Plus and TTFD.

Thinking it was a different company, I inquired: (They replied in 1 working day the last time

Alinamin tablets)

1) Fursultiamine (as vitamin B1 derivative ) 20mg—Is Is that 20mg per tablet or for 2?

2) Fursultiamine hydrochloride—As I understand Fursultiamine is TTFD (Thiamine Tetrahydrofurfuryl Disulfide) with a HCL component attached.

3) How bio-available is Alinamin? (TTFD is supposedly 100%)

4) Why max of 2?

5) Is Fursultiamine as powerful as TTFD?

6) Does Fursultiamine cross the BBB (Blood Brain Barrier)?
