How common is bezoar in PD?

Bezoar is a concretion of food in the abdomen. Photos resemble cannon balls. One sign of a bezoar is gastroparesis: Stomach emptying very slowly. I don't have the common signs of PD; No slowness or freezing in place . I have constipation. In two weeks I have to swallow a "Smart Pill" which records data while travelling through the GI system. Then have a rectal probe shoved 'up there' . All to determine whether there is gastric disease not related to PD.

Anyone have bezoar and PD?

Hubby recently contracted constipation and it turned out to be his levodopa was too high which also gave him insomnia, and the sleeping tablet quetiapine he was given for the insomnia also made him constipated. He stopped the quetiapine and reduced the levodopa and the constipation and insomnia went away.

I do not have Bezoar but I had the Smart Pill test several years ago to confirm gastroparesis. There was no doubt diagnosing gastroparesis after the test. I do struggle with constipation & have tried several medications but the one that worked best for me was Motegrity.
