This just popped up on my Amazon screen. All of you that have been researching Sulforaphane, would this help any? You've talked about it needing to go thru a precise procedure and such. Do you see any good in this supplement? 🥊

Hi LagLag! It’s cclemonade. I couldn’t get my old name back. Do Not Age is a reputable company I trust. But, I am not familiar with that specific product. I will research it and circle back.

I learned about Do Not Age from one of my favorite YouTube channels, Modern Healthspan.

Dr. Jed Fahy of John Hopkins is the primary and most reputable (imho) researcher of sulfuraphane.

From him I learned of another and very easy to use source. Moringa powder. He recommended a specific brand. I just started using it. I mix 1 teaspoon in coconut yogurt. ❤️

Also check out Avmacol. John's Hopkins and Dr Fahy are involved in this too !

Great! Thank you! Added it to my cart. 😊

May I ask you - do you make your own coconut yogurt or use store-bought? I used to make my own in the past but not from coconut.

Just to be clear: Moringa does not have Sulforaphane, but has a similar compound that Dr Fahy is very keen on. It looks very interesting.

in reply to Bolt_Upright

Correct, Moringa does not contain sulfuraphane but it works on the NRF2 pathway like sulfuraphane.

Yes, Moringa activates Nrf2. I don't know if it activated Nrf2 the same way (same pathways?) but it does activate it. I will probably eventually try it myself. I am curious what happens if you activate Nrf2 multiple ways at the same time (Yes, I am that "hold my beer" guy).

in reply to Bolt_Upright

I’m the “hold my tea cup” girl. ☺️ You can over do it with NRF2. I just started alternating Moringa and broccoli / sulfuraphane.

I think sulforaphane is good. Nothing against this company, but they are just launching their product. I am sure there are established and cheaper ways to get sulforaphane (I use Koyah freeze dried broccoli sprouts and have also started sprouting my own seeds).

What type trays or jars are you using for 🌱

Bolt_Upright profile image
Bolt_Upright in reply to AmyLindy

I use 32 ounce wide mouth bell jars and these plastic sprouting lids I got on Amazon that they stopped selling. I am sure there are a number of plastic sprouting lids that will do a great job.

How many jars are needed to keep the production rolling (I assume 3 day incubation /rotation)?

Bolt_Upright profile image
Bolt_Upright in reply to AmyLindy

I have 3 jars in rotation. My wife is not keeping up with my 40 grams a day. I might need a 4th jar if I can get her 100% on board.

I have been sprouting and taking prosaphane (under the brand name BROQ in the US) This is what Dr. Fahy recommended. See the comparison chart below

Excellent chart! Does he have a similar chart for other NRF2 activators? Maybe there is no reason to rotate? I am inclined to do as to not put all my eggs in one basket.

Nice to see you back Christina! I have not come across a chart for other NFR2 activators. I understand what your concerns are... I feel the same

I've heard that Dr. Fahey dissed BROQ (which I bought before learning that)?? From whom did you hear otherwise?

Missy0202 profile image
Missy0202 in reply to MBAnderson

That is shocking to me. I subscribe to FoundMyFitness and Dr. Fahey himself recommended Prostaphane (which is the same company as BROQ) Hope you are able to watch this video where he talks about Prostaphane foundmyfitness.com/episodes... prostaphane.com

I subscribe to, "found my fitness" too and have seen her other videos, but not this 1. Thanks.

in reply to Missy0202

So when he is referring to a “French company” that’s BROQ. But the “English company with the new product” is highly likely Do Not Age. “Not using a natural version” may make it more stable. Just guessing. This video discusses it. I can’t get it to link so I’m including a screen shot. With the unstableness and variability of sulfuraphane, I am intrigued by activating NRF2 by Moringa.

He mentions the French company called Prostaphane. prostaphane.com/buy-prostap... Their distributor for the US is called BROQ

Donotage got back to me with with a one liner.....30mg.... I have a very hard time believing this when Prostaphane (or BROQ) is published at 18.29mg! I asked them to provide some proof of that since it is not listed on their website. MBAnderson

I have reached out to the company to see how much sulforaphane is in their supplement and will report back

I cannot help but be suspicious that nowhere do they reveal the dosage.
