anyone know about the PADOVA trial. I believe the medication is called. Prasinezumab ? I think it helps with symptoms and possibly slow the progression of Parkinson’s.
Drug Trial : anyone know about the PADOVA... - Cure Parkinson's
Drug Trial
It's a follow on trial from the pasedena trial. It's a monoclonal a-syn antibody
I have been in the Pasadena Roche/Prothena clinical trial for a little over 4 years. Has it slowed progression of the disease? Very difficult to say because I have nothing with which to compare.
Is the intended target of the misfolded a-syn protein, thought to be the culprit in this disease, indeed being eliminated. And, if so, is this “waste” being properly disposed of from the brain? I think Biogen abruptly ceased their similar trial and about the same time initiated a very expensive partnership with Denali because they felt that Denali might have an answer to how the a-syn waste can be removed from the brain. My guess is that you will see a clinical trial coupling Biogen and Dinali’s expertise sometime soon.
Hey LKB 55 . . . was not on any medication when I entered the trial 4 years ago. Now, about 4 1/2 years later I started with Sinemet.
As I stated previously my symptoms have none the less progressed. I have had no adverse effects during the duration of the trial. As you most likely are aware the medication is infused every 28 days.
So, take a very thorough look at this CT and compare with others that may be available in your area. I would also look closely at the Denali trials coming along soon.
